TAYLOR LAUTNER TAKES ‘ABDUCTION’ TO AUSTRALIA

It was all eyes on Taylor Lautner as he arrived at the Australian premiere of Abduction at Hoyts Cinemas in Sydney today (August 23).

The big screen hunk looked dapper in a tailored monochromatic suit as he debut his new action flick centered on a young man who sets out to uncover the truth about his life after finding his baby photo on a missing persons website.

Among the screams of almost 1000 admirers, Taylor said he was shocked at the reception he received when Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan and Tobey Maguire were just a few metres away filming The Great Gatsby.

“It’s amazing the support I get. You never really get used to it,” he said on the red carpet. “It’s because of everyone here that I get to do what I do. I’m always thankful.”

Taylor spent about an hour taking photos and signing autographs for his fans, many of which had taken the day off school to camp out for eight hours to secure their spot.

As the world waits with baited breath for the next movie in the Twilight film franchise, actors Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner were spotted arriving together on set to prep for Breaking Dawn in Baton Rouge, LA.

Though the trio received the royal treatment with their own cars, drivers, and bodyguards, they looked like normal young adults as they played with a puppy in the set parking lot.

Meanwhile, after dyeing her hair strawberry blonde this summer for her role in On The Road, Kristen has gone to the dark side, returning to a brown hair colour. “I was blonde a little while ago,” she told People mag on the red carpet at the screening of her film Welcome to the Rileys last night. “So now I’m dark again for Twilight,” she said, adding, “I feel much more myself with darker hair.”

And as Kristen prepares for Bella’s Vampire incarnation in Twilight, she’s had to give up some unhealthy habits she picked up on the set of Welcome to the Rileys. “She ate badly, smoked tons of cigarettes, stayed up late,” director Jake Scott said. “She embraced the habitual nature of the character.”

Kristen added: “Well, it’s kind of embarrassing. But I’m playing a vampire soon. I eat disgustingly normally. And so, right now, I’m trying to not put so much butter in my food and stuff like that.” And is the diet working? “Yeah, yeah,” she answered, “I feel better…. I guess so.”
