MICHELLE WILLIAMS BRINGS ‘BLUE VALENTINE’ TO LONDON
Michelle Williams attended the premiere of Blue Valentine during the 54th BFI London Film Festival at Vue West End in London, England today (October 15).
The upcoming flick received an NC-17 rating for a sex scene between Michelle and co-star Ryan Gossling.
The Weinstein Co. will appeal the restrictive rating given to its marital drama by the Motion Picture Association of America’s Classification and Rating Administration.
Directed by Derek Cianfrance, the film tells the tale of a couple whose marriage is going sour, and the scene that has attracted the rating board’s scrutiny involves a bout of drunken, hotel-room sex.
The movie is slated to begin a platform release December 31. The formal appeal hearing will take place sometime in November.
“We want to express our deepest gratitude to our colleagues in the industry and in the media for their recent outpouring of support for Derek Cianfrance’s ‘Blue Valentine’ after the film surprisingly received an NC-17 rating from the MPAA,” Harvey Weinstein says. “We are taking every possible step to contest the MPAA’s decision. We respect the work of the MPAA and we hope, after having a chance to sit down with them, they will see that our appeal is reasonable, and the film, which is an honest and personal portrait of a relationship, would be significantly harmed by such a rating.”

Something happened to her face and it’s not cute or natural.

What the hell. She’s not supposed to look like this!?

Actually, she doesn’t look much different from a photo I found credited in 2008. The only differences I can detect are that her eyebrows here are much darker and more filled-in than usual, and she is wearing her hair swept off her forehead. She’s always worn bangs, so this is a different look for her.
No plastic surgery here, folks.
