Never ones to miss a humanitarian event, Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore attended the 2010 Freedom Awards at Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center in Redondo Beach, CA on Sunday (November 7).

The loved up pair were joined by Demi’s young daughter Rumer Willis as they honored the best and brightest of the global, anti-slavery movement.

Fellow presenters included Forest Whitaker, Camilla Belle, Meredith Artley, Ryan Devlin and Vincent Kartheiser while Jason Mraz performd with the Agape Choir and Sir Ken Robinson played the role of master of ceremonies.

Despite personal troubles and reports of infidelity, philanthropic Demi and Ashton have never let their dedication to making the world a better place lessen.

According to Ashton, about three quarters of the estimated 32 billion dollars in financial exchanges for trafficking in women and children takes place on the Internet, with an estimated 27 million victims.

Prostitution is being forced off the streets and “behind the closed doors of the Internet. Behind those closed doors you can make a purchase on the Internet and feel completely anonymous,” he says. “The truth is slavery globally is a dirty little secret. It is happening everywhere, right in front of our eyes and we ignore it. There are more slaves in the world today than ever before in world history.”

The Hollywood couple want Twitter, Google, Facebook and Microsoft to put up obstacles to online trafficking. Demi says the technology would enable investigators to identify and pinpoint the location of those buying sex online.
