JAMES FRANCO AND ANNE HATHAWAY TO HOST THE OSCARS

It’s official. James Franco and Anne Hathaway are in to co-host the 2011 Academy Awards in February.

The Academy announced the duo’s new gig in a press release.

“James Franco and Anne Hathaway personify the next generation of Hollywood icons— fresh, exciting and multi-talented. We hope to create an Oscar broadcast that will both showcase their incredible talents and entertain the world on February 27,” show producers Bruce Cohen and Don Mischer said in the release. “We are completely thrilled that James and Anne will be joining forces with our brilliant creative team to do just that.”

  1. Seriously this guy has underlying health issues. Liver problems? Pancreas issues? Vitamin deficiency? Something. He always seems to have yellow skin. Maybe he just needs his teeth bleached. But whatever it is, health concerns are the first thing I think of when I see pics of him.

  2. I like both a lot…

  3. I give up. Have the Oscars just completely gone to the dogs? To have as host an actor expected to be nominated for Best Actor…and now I guess Hathaway thinks she will be too, for that awful mess, “Love & Other Drugs.”

  4. I like James Franco. I think he’s a pretty versatile actor and he’s funny as hell. Anne Hathaway is good too.

  5. I agree with boohoo…this man is ill. Something is wrong. Hard drugs??
