Halle Berry sure knows how to change it up on the red carpet.

Opting to ditch the traditional designer gown, the Oscar-winning actress donned a gold paisley pant suit as she attended the premiere of Frankie and Alice at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood on Tuesday (November 30).

Meanwhile, Halle is in talks to join the cast of the Wachowski brothers’ new project, Cloud Atlas.

The 44-year-old star would join a cast list that is reported to already include Tom Hanks and Natalie Portman, as well as Ian McKellen and James McAvoy.

Berry said at the 42nd NAACP Image Awards: “I’m going to do a movie probably in the summer with the Wachowskis. It’s a really interesting movie [that is] sort of [like] what they did for The Matrix.”

She added: “They have another really amazing idea that’s going to stretch our brains even further. I’m really excited about that, and that’s probably going to be in the summer. And that’s with Tom Hanks and Natalie Portman.”

Cloud Atlas will be an adaptation of David Mitchell‘s 2004 novel of the same name and will be written for the screen by Run Lola Run‘s Tom Twyker.

The plot details the interconnecting storylines of six different people, including a voyager in 1850, a disinherited composer and a journalist.
