It was a dark in cloudy day in New York City on Monday (December 13) — but don’t tell that to Ciara.

The R&B songstress brightened up the sky with her million dollar smile as she left CBS Broadcast Center after appearing on BET’s 106 & Park.

On the show, Ciara revealed that she is still “devastated” about Michael Jackson’s death — though she never met him.

“My favourite singer growing up was Michael Jackson,” she said. “I got the chance to talk to him on the phone but I never got to meet him physically. I’m still devastated that he’s gone — it’s unbelievable.”

The Gimme Dat singer also spoke of her desire to be a good businesswoman and admits she loves reading books such as The 48 Laws of Power to get inspiration.

“It’s a book that encourages you to be smarter and make good decisions,” she said. “It helps you understand why people do things in a certain way. It’s very good for business. It’s very important for me to be a good businesswoman as well as a performer. I have big goals that I want to accomplish.”
