ZOOEY DESCHANEL, ELIZABETH BANKS AND CREW PREMIERE ‘OUR IDIOT BROTHER’

Zooey Deschanel was a vision in black and white as she arrived at the premiere of Our Idiot Brother at ArcLight Cinemas in Hollywood on Tuesday (August 16).

Joined by co-stars Kathryn Hahn, Zooey Deschanel, Paul Rudd, Rashida Jones and Elizabeth Banks, the singer/actress blended mod with modern as she worked the red carpet ahead of the debut of her new Jesse Peretz-directed comedy about an idealist who barges into the lives of his three sisters.

Before arriving on the red carpet, Elizabeth posted THIS PIC on her Twitter account before writing: “On the way to #OURIDIOTBROTHER premiere. I’m gonna chest bump @therealzooeyd and then compliment her on her dress.”

Next up for Zooey? The upcoming Fox series New Girl.

In the show, the 31-year-old starlet plays a newly single woman who moves in with three guys eager to meet her friends. An overly emotional sort, her character sings whenever she is overwhelmed.

“It’s just a part of how she expresses herself,” Zooey recently told the Television Critics’ Association during Fox’s panel on the new show. “They’re songlets — they come spontaneously” to the character. The songs she sings are written into the script.

New Girl premieres September 20.

  1. Call it what you will, the bottom line is there is always one person in the family that just doesn’t seem to have their act together and has a bad habit of making all the wrong decisions in life.
