It was a union of showbiz BFFs as Demi Lovato and Kim Kardashian joined forces on the red carpet at the 2011 VH1 Do Something Awards in Hollywood today (August 14).

While singing sensation Demi looked fresh-faced and happy, reality TV star Kim looked freshly pulled and tucked as they attended the annual show side by side.

Demi is among the performers at the 2011 Do Something Awards. She is also nominated in two categories, the Do Something Charity Song and the Do Something TV Star awards. As for Kim? Well, she’s busy promoting her upcoming made-for-TV wedding to Kris Humphries.

Bands Foster the People and OneRepublic with B.o.B to will be on hand to deliver performances during the show, which will be hosted for the second year in a row by Glee‘s Jane Lynch.

Also in attendance? American Idol rocker Adam Lambert, Dax Shepard, R&B songbird JoJo, Justin Bieber, Kerry Washington, Kristen Bell, Rose McGowan, Sophia Bush, Tyra Banks and Zachary Levi.

VH1’s DoSomething Awards began in 2007 and were first televised live from L.A. last year.

ADAM LAMBERT HONORED AT 2011 LOS ANGELES EQUALITY AWARDS

Dressed to impress, Adam Lambert attended the 2011 Los Angeles Equality Awards at the Hilton hotel in Beverly Hills on Saturday (August 13).

Equality California honored the American Idol alum, along with Facebook, in this year’s annual ceremony.

“We’re thrilled to honor Adam Lambert and Facebook whose work has been a catalyst for social change and lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) equality,” says Roland Palencia, Equality California’s new executive director. “Their courage and leadership in entertainment and social media have helped Californians become more supportive of LGBT rights.”

Adam participated in the “It Gets Better” Campaign and donated proceeds from his “Aftermath Remix” to the Trevor Project.

During presenter Kathy Griffin‘s speech, she was able to coerce Adam into joining her for a spontaneous rendition of Mad World.

Prior to presenting the award, Kathy warned attendees to grab their flip cameras and cell phones because “we’re going to have a moment!” She then broke into Mad World and asked Adam to join her. He wouldn’t come on stage to join in, but when Kathy was handed a portable microphone, she went offstage to his table and he readily sang with her.

Following the event, Adam tweeted: “Thank you Equality California for such a lovely evening!! And @sam_sparro for a great intro. :)”

ADAM LAMBERT PERFORMS IN PARIS

Adam Lambert heated up the stage as he performed in Paris, France on Thursday(November 18).

Rocking out to a sold out house, the American Idol finalist performed back-to-back covers of Jimi Hendrix‘s Purple Haze and Led Zeppelin‘s Whole Lotta Love.

Meanwhile, after sparking more than 1500 complaints with his racy stage antics last year, Adam once again kissed one of his male band members during the concert.

Upon arriving in the City of Light earlier in the week, Adam tweeted: “First day ever in Paris! Visited Notre Dame, the Lourve, and ended the evening at the Crazy Horse.”

It looks like Adam was able to see some of the major sites before his tour picks up again with a show in Amsterdam on Saturday.
