Judging by the big smile on her face, motherhood has been treating Alicia Keys well.

The new mom was all smiles as she celebrate hubby Swizz Beatz in the GQ November issue at Kastel in New York City last night (November 9).

“I can’t believe I got her out of the house,” the famed producer joked over the mic to the packed house.

For her part, Alicia said that motherhood is “wonderful.”

Following the event, Swizz tweeted: “Much love to everybody that came out tonight and a super thank to G.Q and the entire staff for showing love to my style!”

ALICIA KEYS FEELS A SONG COMING ON

Posted in Alicia Keys on October 27, 2010 by fadedblog

Alicia Keys is clearly in love.

The singer/songwriter/new mom got rather sentimental on her blog with a post from yesterday entitled, “I Feel a Song Coming On.”

Alicia waxes poetic about her newborn son Egypt with her producer husband Swizz Beatz and even admits to spending hours just staring at one of his ears.

“I’m most enamored with anatomy at this point. The miracle of the human body. The ability to create all these small amazing machines of veins, capillaries, digestive systems, eyes, ears and noses. I can spend HOURS looking at one little EAR! Have u ever noticed how complex just an ear is? A tiny maze of art. It may sound silly but it’s so true. Or a heartbeat? Everyday we wake up and in some way, take for granted the fact that this beautiful pulsating organ in our body is the reason, and yet now that’s all I can think of…”

Needless to say, the topic of her next album is likely no mystery…

ALICIA KEYS SHOWS OFF BABY BUMP AT KEEP A CHILD ALIVE GALA

Newlyweds and parents-to-be Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz couldn’t keep their hands off each other as they attended Keep A Child Alive’s 7th annual Black Ball at Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City this evening (September 30).

Showing off her burgeoning belly in a grey baroque print dress, expectant Alicia was truly glowing as she helped raise funds and awareness for the non-profit organization she started back in 2002.

Hosted by Alicia herself, this event takes place in New York and in London and has raised over $10 million since 2004.

Sade was slated to perform at the star-studded event.

Earlier this year, Alicia expressed her excitement about having the soul-music superstar participate in this year’s event. “Sade? Jay-Z? Both icons and both major influences of mine,” she said in a statement. “I am overwhelmed by their generosity in helping us continue the tradition of making the Black Ball the best fundraiser in NYC.”
