Avril Lavigne made an appearance at a MAGIC clothing convention after party for her Abbey Dawn clothing line at the Pure Nightclub in Las Vegas on Tuesday night (August 23).

The rocker-turned-fashion designer rocked a punk princess chic look — complete with a tulle tutu and torn leggings — as she hosted a night of fashion mixed with Sin City night life amid hundreds of clubgoers.

Next up for Avril? In a bit of jaw-dropping news, she will be presenting her first-ever runway show this Fashion Week on September 12. The show will debut of her Kohl’s-exclusive line Abbey Dawn, which is her first fashion foray since 2009.

The New York catwalk show will see the launch of a full men’s wear collection, giving male catwalks a run for their money. The ladies’ line will include dresses, denim, skirts, footwear, handbags, wallets, purses and eyewear.

Proving that a couple who surfs together stays together, Avril Lavigne and beau Brody Jenner were spotted checking out new boards at Channel Islands Surfboards in West Hollywood on Friday (August 19).

The hot and heavy pair could be seen engaging in various acts of PDA as they selected some new gear ahead of what will likely be a sand and surf-filled weekend.

Meanwhile, following the release of her fourth album Goodbye Lullaby earlier this year, Avril is set to release Wish You Were Here on September26 as the third single from the album.

Wish You Were Here follows the smash hit singles What the Hell and Smile, the first of which has gone platinum in the US. Avril worked with long-time collaborators Deryck Whibley, Evan Taubenfeld and Butch Walker, as well as songwriter/producer Max Martin for the new album.

Avril recently made headlines after she was nearly attacked in Brazil while on tour earlier this month.

About to launch into Coldplay‘s Fix You, the Canadian songstress had her back to the audience as a female fan climbed on stage and attempted to grab or perhaps embrace Avril.

As seen in the video below, Avri screamed as the overzealous Avrilite was herself caught and dragged offstage by a security guard, who also happens to be her brother Matt.

Avril Lavigne and boyfriend Brody Jenner were spotted shopping at XVI Karats in Los Angeles on Wednesday (December 8).

Were the lovebirds shopping for Christmas gifts or taking their relationship to a new level? Only time will tell….

Meanwhile, Avril is to release her first album in four years — Goodbye Lullaby — in March.

Her first single, What the Hell, will be unveiled New Year’s Eve, when she appears in a TV special with Canadian rapper Drake and R&B stars Jennifer Hudson and Ne-Yo.

They’ll all take part in Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve broadcast from New York and Los Angeles.

Avril says the album has been ready for a year while she awaits her label, RCA Records, to release it.

“This has been a really difficult record for me to create and to release,” she wrote in a post on her website, hinting at differences of opinion with the label. “For the first time I experienced a bunch of bureaucratic BS…. People do their best work when they are doing what they want, love and is natural for them, not when you are forcing them to be something that they are not.”

Avril Lavigne and boyfriend Brody Jenner were spotted heading back to their car after having dinner together in Los Angeles on Sunday night (November 28).

After seeing a photographer, the Canadian singer quickly hid behind her man but Brody was quick to lavish his time in the paparazzi spotlight. He is related to the Kardashians after all!

Meanwhile, rumour has it Brody is considering proposing to his girlfriend on New Year’s Eve.

The two have only been dating since February and Avril’s divorce has only recently been finalized.

As for when we can expect some new music from Avril? “My single’s coming out in January; it’s called What the Hell,” she says. “And my record’s coming out in March, so I’m pretty excited.”

Avril Lavigne had her TV personality boyfriend Brody Jenner carry all of her grocery bags after a last-minute shopping trip to Bristol Farms in Beverly Hills on Wednesday (November 24) for a few Thanksgiving goods.

While punk rocker Avril was all smiles, Brody could be seen covering his recently shaven head with his hood from the cold weather.

Meanwhile, Avril is opening up about her highly-anticipated new album — she admits that it will be slightly different from her previous albums.

She tells MTV, “This album is different … I’m older now, so I think that comes across in my music, it’s not as pop-rock and it’s a little more mellow and it’s deep.” However, she says, “But my first single is very ‘up’ and pop-rock. The first single is very much like my older stuff, but the rest of the album is a departure.”

Avril Lavigne made a solo arrival to the 2010 American Music Awards in Los Angeles today (November 21).

Opting to keep boyfriend Brody Jenner off the red carpet, the 26-year-old pop rockstress made her way along the press line in a graphic black and white mini dress and embellished open-toed booties.

Before stepping out, she tweeted: “Excited to go to the American Music Awards this Sunday. Will be introducing a performance. : ) xoxo”

Meanwhile, Avril is trying something new on her upcoming fourth studio album.

After three successful pop/rock albums, she is now experimenting with hip-hop, according to producer Alex da Kid.

“It’s a mixture of pop/rock and what I do,” the mastermind behind Love the Way You Lie says. “We’ve got some things that are hip-hop leaning, and we’ve got some things that are more pop/rock leaning, so it’s what we both do just kind of combined into one thing.”

Earlier this year, Avril talked about “bureaucratic BS” which caused her album to be long delayed. Responding to this issue, Alex refuses to say much, “I’m not sure what’s going on with the album, just because she’s been working on this album for a long time.” But he admits, “So I think there’s a lot of stuff going on politically and behind the scenes.”

Aside from those problems, Alex says he really enjoys working with Avril. He gushes: “I really liked working with her. She’s really cool and down to earth. It was a good experience.”

Avril’s forthcoming lead single is called What the Hell. Its music video will be shot “in 2 weeks and will be out in January.”
