Keeping warm in a thick leopard print scarf and tan leather jacket, Bar Refaeli did a bit of Christmas shopping at Nordstrom at The Grove in Los Angeles on Thursday (December 16).

The Israeli supermodel looked cool and carefree after a recent trip to Egypt where she allegedly said the country was “a primitive place”, reportedly irking the Egyptian media.

Earlier this week, Egyptian newspaper al-Dustur published a harsh editorial against Bar, claiming that her remarks were part of an Israeli attack on tourism to Egypt. The article was titled: “An Israeli plan to harm Egyptian tourism through a supermodel.”

“It’s part of Israel’s constant efforts to attack tourism in Sinai in a bid to make the tourists move from the Egyptian beaches to the Israeli beaches,” the article claimed. “The Israeli press has taken advantage of the shark attacks on European tourists off the Sharm coast in order to convey in different languages the fear of the tourists visiting Egypt.”

In the meantime Bar’s longtime beau Leonardo DiCaprio is said to be planning to convert to Judaism so that he can marry the leggy beauty.

“Leo’s sudden intense interest in Israel, its culture and religion is the clearest sign yet that he intends to marry Bar,” a source tells Britain’s Mail on Sunday newspaper. “He has been staying with her in a hotel in Tel Aviv for a few days at a time recently so that he can avoid the photographers outside her apartment in a nearby suburb. Now he is looking into converting for her.”
