CHER IMMORTALIZED IN CEMENT; SLAMS THE KARDASHIANS

Posted in Cher on November 19, 2010 by fadedblog

Cher looked fabulous as she attended the hand and footprint ceremony in her honor at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on Thursday (November 18).

The legendary Hollywood icon was joined by her son Chaz Bono and her mother Georgia Holt as she was immortalized at one of Hollywood’s most famous landmarks.

Meanwhile, Cher says she doesn’t know the Kardashians and doesn’t get Jersey Shore.

“I don’t like reality shows at all,” she told Cynthia McFadden in an interview that aired Thursday night on ABC’s Nightline and continues on Friday’s Good Morning America and 20/20. “I kind of like people that do something.”

Of the Kardahsians, Cher says, “What I know about the Kardashians you could put on the head of a pin and still have room for the lord’s prayer. I know nothing about them.”

The Burlesque actress added: “I kind of like people who do something. That are famous for….I’m not sure what.”

Meanwhile, Cher says she was impressed by co-star Christina Aguilera after working with the Not Myself Tonight singer on their new movie.

Speaking in praise of the pop star — who is currently divorcing her husband Jordan Bratman — the diva tells MTV of Christina’s acting ability: “The scenes that she and I had together, I really enjoyed, and I really believe that she’s got definite chops. We worked well together. I enjoyed all of it, and she was toe-to-toe with me the whole time. But everybody’s good.”

Revealing further details of the movie, she adds: “Stanley Tucci’s in it and Peter Gallagher, Kristen Bell and Julianne Hough, so everyone’s really good in it.”

2010 MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS: HIGHLIGHTS

Posted in Cher, Lady Gaga on September 12, 2010 by fadedblog

While it may have been Lady Gaga who swept the MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday night (September 12) it was another larger-than-life diva who stole the spotlight.

Dressed in one of her signature barely-there costumes, Hollywood icon Cher was on hand to present Gaga with the best video of the year award.

Meanwhile, always one to stir up controversy, Gaga picked up the biggest prize of the night wearing an outfit sure to anger the PETA-crowd: a dress and chapeau that appeared to be made of cuts of meat.

A tearful Lady Gaga accepted the award, telling the audience she promised her fans if she won the best video category, she would announce the title of her new album. She made good on the promise, telling the world her new album will be called, Born This Away. She then went on to sing a few bars of the song.
