Christina Aguilera and her husband Jordan Bratman showed off a hot new set of wheels as they took a cruise through Los Angeles, CA in a red Ferrari on Saturday (September 4).

It’s scenes like these that prove Xtina’s relationship with her record exec beau has not changed since they first began dating in 2002.

“Marriage unites you and makes you official but it didn’t change our relationship. All the things like wanting to work hard and play hard, they were always important to us,” Chrstina tells the October issue of Cosmopolitan UK. “‘We’ve been married for five years now, and I think the secret is in always keeping it interesting. You have to make time for yourselves.”

The Not Myself Tonight hitmaker says a lot of effort and patience are required to make a marriage work.

“It’s important to be open to growing together and when the going gets tough, you have to see how you can make your relationship more special and how you can spend more quality time together,” she says. “Everyone has rough patches, everybody grows and we all change. It’s important to give each other room to grow and to accept them for who they are.”

Christina and Jordan got married in 2005, and the singer has a unique way of expressing her love.

“I leave little lipstick marks on the bathroom mirror for when he wakes up, and little notes written in lipstick on the mirror and in the shower,” she says. “Little notes, little cards, little ‘I love yous’ here and there, just to keep things fun and alive.”

Despite their busy schedules, Christina Aguilera and hubby Jordan Bratman know how to keep the love alive.

Taking a break from their day jobs, the happily married couple was spotted making their way to Matsuhisa in Los Angeles yesterday (August 9) for a romantic afternoon date.

After feasting on Japanese food, Xtina and her man could be seen sharing a long embrace before heading back home to join their two-year-old son Max.

Meanwhile, now that her latest album has been deemed a virtual flop, Christina will soon turn the page on her career as she begins promoting her acting debut in Burlesque.

Says the singer-turned-actress of the highly-anticipated musical: “It’s sexy, it’s sensual. The whole idea of burlesque has always intrigued me. The art of the tease, the dance, beautiful women — need I say more?”

Though Burlesque marks Xtina’s feature-film debut, director Steven Antin claims she didn’t have any trouble getting the hang of a movie set. “She figured out how it works within weeks,” he says. “She is a little bit of a freak of nature and a perfectionist. This girl is a movie star.”
