A bikini-clad Julia Roberts was snapped on the beach in Hawaii Tuesday (August 16) with her surfer husband Danny Moder.

The Oscar-winning actress rocked a two-piece dark blue tropical number as she and her hubby spent the afternoon taking in the surf and sand alongside their adorable brood of kids.

After helping youngest son Henry build a beach tent, the 43-year-old star kept it UV protected as she wore a straw hat and white coverup as the sun began set.

Meanwhile, Tom Hanks has reportedly refunded two movie-goers who expressed disappointment at his and Julia’s latest release Larry Crowne.

The 55-year-old actor compensated the couple with $25 after striking up a conversation with them at a gas station near his home in Pacific Palisades, CA.

When Tom was told by the pair that they believed his film “wasn’t that good”, the Oscar-winning actor is alleged to have replied: “Gee, I’m sorry you were disappointed, how about letting me refund your ticket money?”

JULIA ROBERTS SHOWS OFF ECLECTIC STYLE; AVOIDS SPEEDING TICKET

A cheerful Julia Roberts didn’t seem to mind the shutterbugs as she shopped around Pacific Palisades, CA on Monday (December 13) with a friend.

The Oscar-winning actress had a very eclectic look that afternoon in an interesting print sweater, circular sunglasses, lots of bracelets, a patchwork handbag and a pair of animal print flats.

Julia seemed to be in a hurry to get home after doing some holiday shopping as she was pulled over by the CHP for speeding down the PCH highway. But after a few smiles and hair flips, the big screen beauty charmed her way out of the ticket and only received a simple waring from the officer.

Meanwhile, Julia is reportedly in talks to play the Evil Queen in Relativity Media’s The Brothers Grimm: Snow White, while at the same time, Universal is wooing Charlize Theron to play the same role in Snow White and the Hunstman.

While Julia’s version will be directed by Tarsem Singh, Charlize’s take will be helmed by newcomer Rupert Sanders.

The projects are said to be very different.

JULIA ROBERTS PROVIDES FOR HER PUPS

Julia Roberts is not only a good mother, but she’s always a good pet owner!

The Oscar-winning actress had her hands full of pet supplies in Pacific Palisades, CA recently where the cheerful star juggled some new dog toys and collars for the family pooch.

And despite being notoriously a foe of the paparazzi, Julia flashed her million dollar smile and a wave to the photographer before heading home in the family SUV.

Meanwhile, with its numerous foreign locales, Julia’s Eat Pray Love would seem like a natural for strong overseas ticket sales — but the Hollywood Reporter noted earlier this week that it has taken nearly two months for the drama to rise to the top of foreign box office.

It did so this week, as it collected $17.4 million in 56 countries to bring its overseas total to $64.1 million.

Surrounded by friends, Julia Roberts was seen leaving Gladstone’s restaurant in Malibu on Tuesday (October 5) after attending a family member’s birthday party.

The big screen beauty could be seen holding onto a baby bottle and small pink jacket as she attempted to make her way back to her car while being trailed by the paparazzi.

Meanwhile, Julia and fellow Oscar winner Meryl Streep are reportedly in talks to play mother and daughter in a big screen version of Tracy Letts‘ Pulitzer-winning play August: Osage County.

First premiering in 2007 in Chicago, the play captured a Pulitzer for drama and the Tony for best play, as well as one for best actress for Deanna Dunagan.

The play focuses on the buried pains and present conflicts of a family after its patriarch dies. Meryl would take the role of the drug-addicted matriarch and Julia that of the eldest daughter, whose estranged husband has had an affair with one of his students.

ER producer John Wells would direct the film from a screenplay written by Letts for the Weinstein Co.

The film would shoot next summer.

JULIA ROBERTS REFRAINS FROM TALKING RELIGION AND POLITICS WHILE IN JAPAN

Julia Roberts‘ latest flick failed to capture the hearts of American audiences — so she’s now taken her promotional efforts to Japan.

Joined by producer Dede Gardner, the Oscar-winning actress was in full shilling mode as she attended a press conference for Eat Pray Love at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Tokyo this morning (August 18).

While chatting with the Japanese press, Julia revealed that she read and enjoyed Elizabeth Gilbert’s best-seller long before the proposed movie script came across her desk and she jumped at the role. But she added she isn’t looking to make any big alterations in her own life.

“No, no changes,” she said. “I’m good.”

Julia is a practicing Hindu nowadays and said she was interested in the faith before she came across the book and did not covert because of it. The 42-year-old Georgia native was raised Catholic.

Beyond those comments, she said she would keep her beliefs to herself.

“I’ve realized something my mother told me 22 years ago,” she said. “You’re an actor, act. Don’t talk about politics or religion.”

On her longevity as a sought-after big screen actress, she said her inspiration has never waned.

“Loving what you do is the secret to everything,” she said. “I really do love the creative part of making movies.”

JULIA ROBERTS AND JAVIER BARDEM EAT, PRAY AND LOVE IN NEW YORK CITY

It was a union of Oscar-winning actors as Javier Bardem and Julia Roberts hit the premiere of Eat Pray Love at the Ziegfeld Theatre in New York City today (August 10).

While Javier kept it classic in a tailored navy blue suit, 42-year-old Julia showed off her killer gams in a pair of short shorts and an oversized blazer.

Meanwhile, though she’s an old pro at this point, Julia still gets nervous about movie making.

“If I’m not feeling anxious and excited and nervous, then I haven’t invested much in it and I shouldn’t be there,” she says. “So, really, I just want to put myself in a position where I am really feeling like I have to ramp up and accomplish my goals.”

While filming, Julia was joined by her family — including 5-year-old twins Hazel and Phinnaeus and 3-year-old Henry.

“Well, the funny thing is, they had just been in India because my husband (photographer Danny Moder) had just been working there in January and this was in October,” she explains. “So, we had been in Jaunpur and Agra and all these places, Goa. We were all over the entire country. They loved it. So, when I said we were going back, they were so excited. We went to all the places we hadn’t been before.”

Julia’s next big-screen project is Larry Crowne, a dramedy that’s been shooting in Southern California in recent months and is set for release next year, reunites her with Tom Hanks, whom she describes as “an amazing man and friend.”
