TV personality and actresses Kelly Ripa, Kristen Chenoweth and AnnaLynne McCord were ready to run in their high fashionable heels as they took to the starting line at the annual High Heel-a-thon in New York City today (September 22).
Kelly has now taken part and hosted the 150-yard stiletto sprint for two years, making this the second annual Live with Regis and Kelly High Heel-a-thon, which benefits the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health’s The Heart Truth campaign.
They have even brought in a men’s race which figure skater Johnny Weir — and, yes, they too wear high heels.
All types of people came out to show support and participate in the event — grandmothers, fathers, brothers, mother, children and even pregnant women at a chance to win a car and contribute to Foundation.
“Running in the studio gave me the thought,” said Kelly, “I had the hubris to believe, I thought I can win this because I run around the studio.”
