Leave it up to Kim Kardashian to capitalize on the moment.
With just a couple of days to go until she’s set to walk down the aisle, the 30-year-old tabloid star perfectly timed the launch of the Kardashian Kollection.
Joined by her goofy groom-to-be Kris Humphries, Kim had dollars signs in her eyes and PDA on her mind as she attended the bash for the new Sears line at The Colony in Hollywood on Wednesday night (August 17).
Before her arrival, Kim tweeted: “Heading to Colony for the Kardashian Kollection for Sears launch party! I’m rockin’ a leopard jumpsuit w some fly heels! I love sexy heels!”
Also in attendance? Khloe, Kourtney and the rest of the Kardashian harem.
Meanwhile, it appears Kim and Kris’ Saturday nuptials is not going to be so unique at all.
“It is no surprise to me that a lot of Kim’s choices are not original, just because honestly, in Hollywood, there are only a few vendors that celebrities go to,” Us Weekly‘s West Coast bureau chief Melanie Bromley tells USA Today. “I always find that celebrities are a little bit like sheep — and I mean this in the best possible way — in many aspects of their life, whether it’s choosing an interior designer, going to the right colorist, the right facialist.”
“If there was a celebrity bible of what you should do, that’s what (the Kardashians) do, from carrying the Hermès bags to wearing the Christian Louboutin shoes to going to the right beautician,” Bromley adds. “The whole thing is exactly what you would expect a celebrity to do if you were going to write a script. ”
“It’s a little nauseating sometimes, because they’re everywhere, but they have been consistent,” says Essence magazine’s entertainment director Cori Murray. “They are clear: ‘This is our business. We want to be celebrities.’ They get it.”
“Every single aspect of her life is on TV. I don’t know what is private,” says Bromley. “We’ve seen her doing everything.”
