Larry King was joined by wife Shawn Southwick, guests Bill Maher, Ryan Seacrest and Dr. Phil as well as his two children Cannon and Chance in Los Angeles on Thursday (December 16) for his final show, where after 25 years of Larry King Live the talkshow host has finally given up his suspenders.

On the final broadcast, the 77-year-old was serenaded by Tony Bennett singing The Best is Yet to Come via remote from Louisiana.

“You’re not going to see me go away, but you’re not going to see me on this set anymore,” Larry said. “I don’t know what to say except to you, my audience, thank you, and instead of goodbye, how about so long?”

While there were a parade of guests who stopped by, it was Larry’s young son Chance who stole the spotlight after he injected some levity with a dead-on impersonation of his father, including the Brooklyn accent.

It’s been a muted exit for Larry, with CNN touting America’s Got Talent judge Peirs Morgan‘s upcoming show in ads more than Larry’s. Once the dominant voice in cable television news, Larry has faded in a sea of sharp talkers.

The cast of two of TV’s hottest shows stepped out on Thursday night (September 2) for The Taste of Beverly Hills event in Beverly Hills.

In one corner was the cast of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Headed by family matriarch Kris Jenner and eldest offspring Kourtney Kardashian, the reality TV stars were more than happy to join forces for their latest family photo-op.

In the other corner was the young and sexy cast of 90210. Doing their things for the camera were the likes of Shenae Grimes, AnnaLynne McCord, Jessica Stroup, Trevor Donovan, Matt Lanter, Ryan Eggold and Jessica Lowndes.

Hosted by Food & Wine, the city of Beverly Hills marked the special day (9/02/10) by featuring singers Natasha Bedingfield and Ne-Yo. CNN talk show host and Beverly Hills resident Larry King served as master of ceremonies for the celebration.

Before heading to the star-studded event, Kourtney tweeted: “On way to celebrate 90210. On 9-02-10. They are giving our family the key to the city! The Kardashians get the key of Beverly Hills. Such an honor!”

The event also included the Humane Society of the United States presenting Animal Advocate Awards to actresses Kaley Cuoco, Wendie Malick and Jorja Fox as well as a fireworks celebration.

As he wraps up his long-running talk show, Larry King, who bought his first pair of suspenders in 1988 and now owns about 250 pairs, gives his views on fashion to Harper’s Bazaar.

Here’s an excerpt:

What are your favorite looks on a woman?
Larry: “I like skirts at the knee or a little above. I’m not into low-cut stuff. I like shoes. My wife, Shawn, is tall, but I like heels; I’m not one for flats. I like the total look, a lady who says, ‘I want you, but I’m not making it obvious.'”

What about Shawn’s style?
Larry: “I like the colors she wears. Also, she’s 5 feet 11 and a half, so everyone notices when she walks in a room.”

Who’s the most stylish person you’ve ever interviewed?
Larry: “In her day, Jane Fonda. Angie Dickinson. That era may be gone now. But the classic example of bringing yesterday to today is Cameron Diaz. She has movie-star looks with a modern approach.”

We all like Cameron.
Larry: “I saw A-Rod yesterday. He really likes her too.”
