Joined by fellow beauty Lily Aldridge, the Brazilian-born bombshell signed autographs, posed for photos and later met with fans who had lined up all day in hopes of meeting their favourite Victoria’s Secret Angel. Some even got the chance to get a Bomshell makeover!
Meanwhile, in a new interview with the Miami Herald, Adriana opens up about how her life has changed since becoming a Victoria’s Secret model.
“I get recognized a lot more than I used to. As a model, you are transformed for each photo shoot so people don’t realize it’s you when you are dressed down or with little makeup on,” she says. “But Victoria’s Secret focuses on each model as an individual and really lets our personalities come through in our photo shoots and media appearances. Now people see me on the street and know my name.”
A few more highlights from her interview:
Adriana on the most enjoyable part of her job: “I love working with everyone who is part of the process — from stylists, producers, other models and hair and makeup artists. Everyone has fun together and all of the models get a chance to become friends. I also love that my schedule can be flexible now that I have a child.”
Adriana on whether it is strange to see her pictures in the catalog next to fragrances: “Not really. Fragrances are a huge part of sexiness and that’s what VS is about — finding and embracing sexiness in your daily life. It only makes sense to offer scents that help you get into a certain mood to go along with the bras and panties you are wearing — whether it’s your daily lingerie or for a special occasion.”
Adriana on working with the other models: “We all get along really well. When you work 14 hour days together, you can get into personal conversations and have fun. We have to feel comfortable to stand next to each other and play off each other for the cameras.”
Adriana on her fitness secret: “I work out nearly every day. Especially after I had [daughter Valentina, now 10 months], I really wanted to focus on being healthy and being good to my body. I discovered boxing and it has really empowered me. I love going to work out now. It gets out aggression and my trainer really shakes it up so I don’t get bored.”
