Jake Gyllenhaal and Michelle Williams had a Brokeback Mountain reunion in Los Angeles last night (December 2).

Joined by Michelle’s co-star Ryan Gosling, the duo joined forces at a screening of her newest flick Blue Valentine at the Creative Artists Agency building.

Meanwhile, Kate Winslet shocked guests at a private dinner in honor of Michelle earlier this week by revealing she’s been having an imaginary “love affair” with the actress for years.

Before introducing the film, Kate revealed she harbours a secret – she was so in awe of Michelle’s acting talents that she created a make-believe friendship between the pair in her head.

She told the crowd, “From a distance, I feel as though I’ve actually been having a secret love affair with Michelle. She and I are quite intimate in my fantasy friendship built on admiration and respect. I’m talking about her acting, of course.”

MICHELLE WILLIAMS BRINGS ‘BLUE VALENTINE’ TO LONDON

Posted in Michelle Williams on October 15, 2010 by fadedblog

Michelle Williams attended the premiere of Blue Valentine during the 54th BFI London Film Festival at Vue West End in London, England today (October 15).

The upcoming flick received an NC-17 rating for a sex scene between Michelle and co-star Ryan Gossling.

The Weinstein Co. will appeal the restrictive rating given to its marital drama by the Motion Picture Association of America’s Classification and Rating Administration.

Directed by Derek Cianfrance, the film tells the tale of a couple whose marriage is going sour, and the scene that has attracted the rating board’s scrutiny involves a bout of drunken, hotel-room sex.

The movie is slated to begin a platform release December 31. The formal appeal hearing will take place sometime in November.

“We want to express our deepest gratitude to our colleagues in the industry and in the media for their recent outpouring of support for Derek Cianfrance’s ‘Blue Valentine’ after the film surprisingly received an NC-17 rating from the MPAA,” Harvey Weinstein says. “We are taking every possible step to contest the MPAA’s decision. We respect the work of the MPAA and we hope, after having a chance to sit down with them, they will see that our appeal is reasonable, and the film, which is an honest and personal portrait of a relationship, would be significantly harmed by such a rating.”

Check out this just-released photo of Michelle Williams as Marilyn Monroe.

According to Trademark Films and The Weinstein Company, principal photography started seven weeks ago on My Week with Marilyn at Pinewood Studios and on location in and around London. The film chronicles a week in the life of Marilyn Monroe in which she escapes the shackles of her Hollywood career and embraces British life with Colin Clark.

In 1956, 23-year-old Clark worked as a lowly assistant on the set of The Prince and the Showgirl, the film that united Sir Laurence Olivier and Monroe, who was also on honeymoon with her new husband, the playwright Arthur Miller. During one week that summer, Miller left for England and Clark spent it with Monroe, showing her some of the pleasures of British life.

Others in the cast include: Eddie Redmayne, Kenneth Branagh, Judi Dench, Dominic Cooper, Emma Watson and Julia Ormond.
