The 35-year-old fashion designer celebrated her daughter Aoki Lee Simmons‘ 8th birthday on Tuesday (August 24) by hosting a fashion show in honor of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Held at Modani in West Hollywood, Kimora could be seen giving some sick kids tips on walking the runway before sitting down for an all-you-can-eat catered lunch.
Also in attendance? The birthday girl’s big sister Ming Lee and her 15-month-old baby brother Kenzo.
Meanwhile, Kimora has quit her role at the clothing company set up by her ex-husband Russell Simmons.
The reality TV star carved out a career in fashion by joining Russell’s Phat Farm firm and designing for the Baby Phat brand.
She stayed on as creative director after the company was sold in 2004 as part of a massive $140-million deal, but she has now quit to pursue other fashion projects.
Kimora says in a statement, “It’s time for me to move on and further expand my other businesses and create a new phenomenon. I adore all those who have faithfully been with me since the beginning. I’m forever dedicated to my family, fans, and customers.”
