Salma Hayek brought a touch of Hollywood glamour as she arrived at a local recreational center in Los Angeles on Sunday (AUgust 14).

Joined by husband François-Henri Pinault, the 44-year-old big screen star enjoyed an afternoon of pedestrian activities, including a tennis match and a run to a nearby Whole Foods.

Meanwhile, much like every other celeb in Hollywood, Salma is expanding her empire. After conquering the acting world, the Mexican-born beauty has created a 100-product beauty, hair and skin care line called Nuance sold exclusively at CVS stores nationwide. It’s affordable. It’s accessible. And Salma swears it works.

“If I had known how much work it was going to be, I wouldn’t have done it,” she tells USA Today. “I’m incapable of letting someone else take over. I’m micromanaging.”

Salma claims she’s not like every other celebrity who sign their names to brands without getting involved. “No, chica. I’ve been working on this for years,” she says. “I burn my face, my eyes, trying this (expletive). I have very sensitive skin. The stuff is really, really, really good.”

So, how did Salma get involved in the first place? “My grandmother used to make her creams. Some of the creams were super-cheap, but they were so efficient,” she says. “I knew there was a way of making extraordinary products that make a difference, without spending that kind of money. I believe in products. Every woman should be entitled to preserve her youth to the best of human ability. I was really excited to make this possible.”

Hubby François-Henri, who just so happens to be chief executive officer of PPR, is among Salma’s biggest fans. “There’s a couple of products that he’s like, ‘Wow.’ He’s very impressed. The green-tea cooling eye gel he really likes. You know what else he likes?”

Salma Hayek and daughter Valentina Paloma Pinault took a trip to visit Santa Claus while in Paris, France today (December 12).

The visit took part during the taste of Christmas for The Little Crack at the Paris Club Rasputin.

Meanwhile, Salma describes herself as a former illegal immigrant in an interview with Spain’s V magazine.

“I was an illegal immigrant in the United States. It was for a small period of time, but I still did it,” the Mexican-born Ugly Betty producer says.

Salma moved to Los Angeles in 1991, and her visa expired shortly after. Her publicist clarifies that the star’s status “was cleaned up immediately, as Salma went to Mexico and renewed” her visa. Since then, Salma has become an American citizen.

Always up for a swanky affair, Salma Hayek and hubby François-Henri Pinault attended the WWD CEO summit and keynote dinner at The Plaza Hotel in New York City this evening (November 1).

Dressed to the nines in black-tie gear, the high profile couple was joined by legendary American designer Ralph Lauren and his longtime Ricky as over 200 of the fashion industry’s most influential decision came together for a night of candid exchange of business ideas, networking, information gathering, and collaboration of the most pressing challenges facing their businesses.

Salma did not fail to impress in the wardrobe department wearing an all black ensemble with bold golden epaulettes on her shoulders.

Thanks to her billionaire hubby, Salma has become a regular at Paris Fashion Week, supporting her man’s labels from the front rows of the shows. The 48-year-old Frechman is the CEO of retail and luxury clothing firm PPR, the parent company of some of fashion’s biggest names, including Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent, Balenciaga and Sergio Rossi.

Salma is back in the Big Apple after attending the Doha Tribeca Film Festival in Qatar last week where the Oscar-nominated actress was among a star-studded jury.

Happy mom Salma Hayek enjoyed some down time with her friend in Beverly Hills, CA today (September 21).

Joined by a friend, the 44-year-old actress hit up the Kiki de Montparnasse boutique in search of expensive lingerie and “instruments of pleasure.”

Meanwhile, Salma will soon hit the big screen again as she’s signed on to play Kitty in the Shrek Forever After follow up film Puss in Boots. Antonio Banderas will, of course, play Puss in Boots while Zach Galifianakis will lend his voice as Humpty Dumpty.
