So, how did she do it?
“I went to hell and back,” says the country music singer. No mention of diet pill Alli, for which she was a spokeswoman in 2009. Before beginning an exercise routine, she told herself, “I can be a victim or a victor.” She adds: “I started walking in the wildnerness screaming at God, ‘Why?’ I call it my meditative walk.”
A few more highlights from Wynonna’s interview:
Wynonna on how she’s feeling nowadays: “I don’t look in the mirror and go, ‘You suck.’ The other day a guy half my age asked me out and I said, ‘I admire your courage.’ … I’m feeling so alive that I have to take naps. Let’s just put it this way: I’m on fire. From head to toe.”
Wynonna whether she’s dating: “Hell, yeah. I’m not going to say anymore about it. Let’s just say I have a pep in my step. … And when I’m ready to talk about it, I’m telling Gayle, ‘I’m not telling you!'”
Wynonna on her husband D. R. Roach, who was arrested in March 2007 and indicted on three counts of aggravated sexual assault and battery against a minor under the age of 13: “He was out of the house within the hour.”
