A DAY AT THE PARK WITH NAOMI WATTS AND SON SAMUEL

Naomi Watts spent the afternoon playing in the sun with her son Samuel Kai Schreiber at a park in the East village of New York City today (August 3).

The adorable pair could be seen taking advantage of the empty jungle gym before 20-month-old Samuel caught a piggyback ride back home aboard his movie star mom.

Meanwhile, despite her enjoyable summer day out, Naomi says her favourite time of the year is autumn because she gets to wear layers of fashionable clothing.

The 41-year-old actress, who was announced as the new face of Ann Taylor’s Fall 2010 collection, also insists that the luxury line personifies “confidence” and sex appeal within a woman.

“I love the autumn season and I think it’s the best season for fashion,” she says. “Dressing up is always better when it’s boots and jackets and coats. Everybody should have a camel coat.”

She adds: “To me the Ann Taylor woman feels like an all-American woman. She is someone who has confidence, she’s smart, she’s sexy. She’s someone who cares about how she looks [and] doesn’t have hours to spend creating some look that’s possibly going to overwhelm her. She wants to be comfortable.”
